Indigo of Estes Park

Indigo clothing store in downtown Estes Park, Colorado, specializes in unique and beautiful clothing and accessories, from tea-stained skirt, pant, and top sets by Oh My Gauze to tops by Eucalyptus, a company who empowers those who work for them in the villages of Guatemala. Indigo's sign reads "Open and Awesome" while open and "Closed but Still Awesome" after hours.

The clothing is varied in style: ranging from t-shirts to flowing tops. However, all clothing shares the commonality of being of high-quality and difficult to find elsewhere. Indigo also has a lovely range of fashion jewelry: bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in many styles to suit various tastes. Lastly, but certainly not least, the selection of oversized, colorful purses are welcome additions to personal collections.

My favorite feature of Indigo are their 75% off clothing racks, located at either of their entrance/exit doors. The racks are full of beautiful clothes at extremely low prices. For example, I purchased a simply awesome flowing, crinkly, blue, light sweater off their sale rack that is reminiscent of a garment from Wingnut Studios, the makers of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit film trilogies, for approximately $15, (saving nearly $45) and they wrapped the garment in a gift sack with matching tissue paper for no additional charge.

Indigo is a clothing store I recommend for their unique fashions and of course for their excellent location, as the Thompson River runs outside their door, beside the stone slab sidewalk: sometimes rushing, sometimes placidly rolling along--not unlike the customers who frequent Indigo. Estes Park, Colorado, swells with 4.5 million visitors during its peak season and out of season becomes a quiet, mountain town. Whether in season or out of season, open or closed, Indigo is and will be awesome.
