Rise of Sharlock Holmes: Uncle Ed Remembers (Uncle Ed Remembers: Origins of 221B Book 1)--Part 2
“Ms. Gershwin, do ye need anythin’?” I asked. “Mr. Gray, would you mind escortin’ me to the bus? I am tired o’ bein’ cat-called. I fear that if it happens again I may just lose my temper and rip the little unmentionables’ voice boxes out, and I wasna meant for jail,” Ms. Gershwin declared.
“Sure I can, come along then,” I said with a smile as I walked out of the classroom with her and down the stairs to the street.
I liked how honest she was about things, but was amazed how reserved she could be in spite of her honest nature. It was as though she was under lock and key, but part of her escaped the clutches that bound her, poor girl.
