“Do ye know Ms. Gershwin, the Mensa girl?” I asked Jamie. “Aye, I tutor her. She’s a quiet one. She does all her work perfectly. She seems locked within though,” Jamie replied.

“Ms. Gershwin, this is my half-brother, Jamie Holmes. I found him at the bar drinking a Temple and thought he’d have better company with us,” I said as Jamie and I came back to the table, and she smiled at my cavalier sense of humor.
