It would be foolish to turn down such an offer,” Elinor said in answer. “It would be foolish to take the money and leave ye. Ye let me see inside o’ your soul last night. I’d seen glimpses o’ it afore, I’ll grant ye, in ye smile and in ye laugh when ye was unguarded; hauntin’ like a wakin’ dream o’ sunlight reflectin’ its beams o’ diamonds on the clear, movin’ water. But last night, I saw it shinin’ full and bright, and I thank God that I did. I was askin’ ye what do ye think o’ the Tipperarian, hamlet house,” Mike finished with a nod toward the sketch.
