The White Desert Dish

(Gluten-Free, Vegetarian)

 

 

Rice Mix:

 

1 cup Basmati Rice

2 cups of Chicken Broth

2 teaspoons MDH Sabji Masala

 

Combine in a medium, stainless steel, pan on medium-low heat. Cover and let boil for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let set for 40 minutes. 

 

Veggie mix:

 

1 red pepper chopped

1/2 an onion, diced

1 cup of green cabbage, thinly sliced 

1 cup of red cabbage, thinly sliced

1/4 cup of butter 

1/4 cup of olive oil

 

Saute veggies until soft. 

 

 

White Sauce:

 

1 cup milk

1/4 cup cornstarch

2 teaspoons European-style red wine vinegar (i use George Paul Vinegary Prairie Red)

1/8 cup Coconut Secrets' Coconut Aminos

2 Tablespoons Coconut Secrets' Coconut Vinegar

 

Combine White sauce ingredients in a ceramic, 12" skillet and stir constantly until thickened with whisk/spatula. 

 

Once white sauce has thickened, thickened, add sauteed veggies and rice to white sauce and stir.  

 

Serve hot with warm tortillas or roti.
